Description

A quick and easy cheeseburger skillet featuring ground beef, onions, tomatoes, and melted cheddar cheese, all cooked together in one pan for a delicious, comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Remove from heat and serve hot.
