A quick and easy Instant Pot recipe for perfectly cooked ground beef, ideal for tacos, pasta sauces, casseroles, and more.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup beef broth
Instructions
Set the Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode and add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, add the diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the Instant Pot, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
Cook the beef until it is no longer pink, about 4-5 minutes.
Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano to the beef and stir to combine.
Pour in 1/4 cup beef broth and stir.
Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to ‘Sealing’.
Select ‘Pressure Cook’ or ‘Manual’ mode and set the timer for 5 minutes.
When the cooking cycle completes, carefully perform a quick release by turning the valve to ‘Venting’.
Open the lid and stir the ground beef mixture.
Use immediately or incorporate into your favorite recipes.
