Description

A simple and delicious baked white fish recipe featuring tender, flaky fish fillets seasoned with lemon, garlic, and herbs. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

4 white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia), about 6 ounces each
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Place the white fish fillets in the baking dish in a single layer.
In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil with the minced garlic, dried parsley, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
Brush the garlic and herb mixture evenly over the fish fillets.
Arrange the lemon slices on top of the fish fillets.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
