Description

Crispy and juicy air fryer chicken leg and thigh seasoned with a simple blend of spices, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.


Ingredients

2 chicken legs (drumstick and thigh attached), about 1 pound total
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the chicken legs all over with olive oil.
Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken legs, rubbing it in to coat thoroughly.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the chicken legs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side up. Do not overcrowd.
Cook the chicken legs at 380°F (193°C) for 12 minutes.
Flip the chicken legs over and cook for an additional 13 minutes at the same temperature, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
Remove the chicken legs from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
